My nine year old daughter decided to make the Llama Doll first. For the most part she could do all the steps by herself, but she had a little bit of trouble with the double sided sticky tape that was used to assemble the llama’s body. My daughter had to wrap the yarn around the llama, and do her best to cover up all of the llama’s cardboard body. Once she completed wrapping the yarn around her llama she was able to make more detailed accents to put on her llama. She had to braid the llama’s reins and place them on the llama like was shown in the illustration. Then she had to bead the head accessories for her llama. Last, she decorated her felt and dressed her llama.
Each craft kit comes with everything you need to assemble the product. The instructions are on a child’s level so that they can follow the steps by themselves and only come to an adult for help if they need to. The crafts are created for ages 3 and up. However, the younger the child the more you will need to help them. 4m is a great way to encourage your child to do more actives that include Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
