“I used baby products by JOHNSON’S® to care for my little one as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #johnsonspartners #SoMuchMore
I love bath time with my little people. I have said it before, and I probably won’t be changing my tune any time soon. 🙂 I love the quality time that you get with your little ones while they splish splash to their hearts content. It’s the one time they can make a mess and all I’ll do is smile. We laugh, we tickle, we sprinkle water on their heads and we squirt away. It’s a time when the rest of the world’s trouble go away. Because I am 100% focused on them, at that moment, there in the tub. We have four little girls, so that means LOTS of bath time fun has occurred over the last eight years. The really great thing about being blessed with multiple children is the fact that I can now watch my two older girls do much of what I did with them, except now they are doing it with their younger sisters too. It’s priceless!
Talk about body parts.
When the girls are bathing, specifically the three and one year old, we talk about body parts as we wash up. The best part about announcing all the body parts and playing this game is the fact that lots of bubbles are produced from the JOHNSON’S® baby wash that we use! This might be their favorite part of bath time!
Massage time.
I love to get my hands full of soap and rub my little ones feet, hands and neck. They just sit there, take it in and hardly move in hopes that I won’t stop. Plus, I love the skin to skin contact!
Count the bath toys.
Everything is about counting these days as we have a three year old in the house. She is working on what’s after 20 now, so it’s been a lot of fun. When my 5 year old participates in bath time too, it’s quite longer as she has just conquered the 100 mark.
Splash to the alphabet song.
You guessed it. I would suggest laying lots of towels down first 🙂 Also, when the kids get older, I draw letters on their back and they guess what letters I am doing!
Sing Old McDonald Had a Farm.
Make the animals noises and continue with lots of laughter.
I recently learned about the SO MUCH MORE™ Campaign and I had to share that with you. It totally applies to this post because I strive to make bath time so much more with my littles! Basically, what they are doing is encouraging parents to get involved at bath time – instead of just enduring it. {My summary, not theirs lol!} Bath time can be so much more than getting your kiddo clean. While I completely get the fact that we only have so much time, did you ever think about the fact that you could be advancing your child not only while reading to them and all the other educational things, but during bath time? It’s proven that by 3 years of age, your little tike has garnered 85% of their brain development. That’s freaky and cool all at the same time! Why am I pointing this out in a post about bath time? Well, all the things listed above, plus many other things you are probably doing at bath time, can help your little one grow. Bath time can encompass SO many of the senses – from smell, touch, sight and sound – it’s a sensory playground!! Plus, an awesome place to further the bond with your child. {{Check out the graphic below to read more about this campaign!!}}
Your baby can grow and grow and grow to the best of their potential, with your help! I hope what I shared today brought a couple things to light for you. I LOVE learning about ways that I can help my children grow, at any rate and doing anything! What advice do you have for ME now???

February 20, 2015 at 2:51 pmWhen baby’s a little older, you can practice body parts and self-care by handing him a washcloth and washing body parts as you name them!
