encourage your kids to make play time their own

Encouraging your kids to play on their own and find things to do is always a task.  Summer is coming and I know all the “I have nothing to do” or “I’m bored” is coming.  While I do encourage my kids to share, I know there are some parents out there that think of a bit differently.  When teaching your kids to share, just because the other child is scream and crying because they want the toy your kid has, doesn’t always mean you just give it to them. What would you be teaching them then? Yes, your kid should share but then you are just teaching the other child that it is okay to act that way and they get what they want.  Not okay.  How do you teach your kids?  I do think kids need to be patient and wait until it is their turn to play with the toy.  Kids often times do not play with toys very long and will give it up on their own.

While teaching your kids to share is a great learning experience. It is nice when there are enough toys for all the kids. So you do not run into any problems with not having enough time with something.  Nintendo was generous enough to share with us 3 Nintendo 2DS XLs, so my kids could empower themselves and make play time their own.  Now, it took me a while to give these to my kids.  I actually felt they needed to earn them and not just be given them. Okay, okay the two year old just got hers and has no clue what to do with it.  My two older kids helped me around the house and did chores to earn them.  They were so excited and grateful when they opened them up.

With them each having their own, there is no need to worry about having any issues. My two older kids played them for the first time like they had been playing them for years.  They love to have  friendly little competitions.

What I love about these is that they are easy to take with you on road trips or just a quiet trip to the grocery store.  Again, my kids always have to earn time to use these, so it works out really well for me.

I love that these are easy to navigate and my kids could figure it out on their own.  With super fun colors and games they love, these will let your kids imagination grow.

For a fun toy and lots of games to learn, I would definitely recommend the Nintendo 2DS XL.
