I love to be able to recycle things that I already have around your home! Why go out and spend money when you can create your own? If your anything like me you already have everything you need if you just take the time to look around your home. My husband make a tree house for the kids and I still have leftover wood from his project. All I had to do is cut the 2” x 4” down to the sizes I wanted! These DIY Fall Pumpkins are so easy and it can be completed in just a couple of hours! I sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful afternoon as I painted and watched my children play.
Supplies::
- 2” x 4”
- Orange and white acrylic paint
- Paintbrushes
- Miter Saw or Table Saw
- Branch
- Embellishments of your choice
- Sandpaper
Step 1:: First you need to cut your 2” x 4” into four pieces. Cut two of your 2” x 4” blocks 7” and the other 5” as always you can adjust these measurements for the heights that work best for you.
Step 2:: Next you will paint your pumpkins orange. I used Pumpkin Orange!
Step 3:: Then once your pumpkins dry sand the edges of your pumpkin. Then you can add your letters. I always draw mine first then paint. You could easily add vinyl letters if you have a machine that can create them. When you finish drawing your letters paint them white.
Step 4:: Now you get to cut your pumpkin stems the length you want. My larger two are about three inches and the smaller two are about two inches. You can either hot glue the pumpkin stems or nail them to your pumpkins. Finally you can embellish your Fall Pumpkins however you like. I added some burlap fabric and fall leaves!
Would you display these Fall Pumpkins in your home?
