Christmas is right around the corner and Fall is here! So let’s get even more in the mood with the smell of these two things with Yankee Candle!
Yankee Candle released their new fragrances on October 3, 2011 for the Holiday 2011 Collection. I love having smell good stuff in my house! And Yankee Candle now helps with that. I pretty much always have something going, whether it be a candle, a plug in device, etc. And depending on my mood depends on the type of candle I have going. Thankfully there are a TON of choices available.
A little about the “My Favorite Things” line:
Inspired by the movie The Sound of Music, this limited-time collection brings together a fun assortment of fragrances that fill the season with a nostalgic sense of enchantment. There are six fragrances available in large classic jar candles, small tumbler candles and a beautifully packages storybook-like box which includes nine Sampler votive candles featuring all six new fragrances.
A little about the Holiday 2011 line:
Inspired by the bright sparkle and delicate beauty of nature in winter, Yankee Candle’s holiday 2011 new fragrances are filled with sweet joys of the season. Made to bring cheer to home and heart, they feature festive ingredients, spices and essences while tying into today’s latest trends.
Here is a little bit about some of the scents I received:
The first item is Warm Woolen Mittens Small Tumbler. Yummy and sweet. I am not typically a “sweet” smelling candle person, however this one was very light and gave a good overall smell…not too strong.
The second item is Balsam & Cedar Large Jar Candle. The INSTANT I smelled this, it reminded me of a cabin in Northern Michigan celebrating Christmas with snow on the ground. Lovely!! Just lovely! And again, not too strong…but strong enough to completely take you to that place where you have smelled this exact smell before 🙂
Last, I received a sampler with three scents. Can I just tell you that I love all the scents in here. There is Mountain Berry, Cherries on Snow and Christmas Rose. Just imagine what these smell like….and then you will know what they smell like! What I mean is they are exactly what their titles are. Love these scents, every last one of them! They are sweeter, but they are not overpowering at all. The strongest one would be the Christmas Rose. But all in all, very light scents. And this is the one I am giving away below!
Not only do these candles all smell great, but isn’t it just lovely to have a candle on at night when all the other lights are out. It’s just SO relaxing!
Balsam & Cedar Large Jar Candle :: $25.99
Warm Woolen Mittens Small Tumbler :: $14.99
A SIMPLE GIVEAWAY:
One lucky winner will get a package of the three new holiday fragrances (Christmas Rose, Mountain Berry and Cherries on Snow), each in a small tumbler. It’s an exclusive offering – even though the fragrances are in stores, the special box/packaging the three new fragrances come in are not available at retail.

October 12, 2011 at 3:34 pmI love, love, love Christmas cookie! It just seems to bring the Christmas holiday closer to home year round. You can almost picture decorations around the house, the tree in the corner covered with homemade ornaments from years past and some new one from this year. The fire is roaring, the snow is falling. Soft Christmas music floats through the air. You just want to cuddle up under a blanket with hot chocolate with mini marshmallows and fresh Christmas Cookies.

October 12, 2011 at 2:50 pmMy favorite candle scent from Yankee is Lemon Lavender! My mother bought me the first one and sent it to me in Texas. She lives in Tennessee and we did not have very many Cracker Barrels here and she had one when I visited her, so she sent one to me after I left. We now have a few here in Texas and I pick one up every chance I get and bring it home so I do not run out. However; I really wish they would make that scent in the car freshers! Just a suggestion…

October 12, 2011 at 2:44 pmMy favorite Holiday scent from Yankee Candle has always been Home for the Holidays. It takes me back to my childhood and Christmas Eve’s spent at my Grandparents house…the scent of cinnamon and spice mingled with a hint of a wood smoke smell, always reminds me of sitting by their fireplace and listening to my Pappaw tell stories. I also love their Mistletoe and a new favorite is White Christmas. I would love to try the new Christmas scents! My Fall scents are almost gone, I burn them almost everyday, they just make me happy!:)

October 12, 2011 at 2:41 pmMy favorite scent is “Mountain Lodge.” Although not specifically a “Holiday” scent, it is warm, fresh and inviting. My guests always comment on how nice my apartment smells.
“Holiday Sage,” & “Crisp Spruce” would have to be my two other “Holiday” favorites!
Thank you Yankee Candle Company!
