The other weekend I left my 15 year-old in charge of making sure her little brother cleaned his room while I went to the store. However, when I returned she was eager to show me the pictures she took of him. She decided instead of cleaning she would have a Mini Outdoor Photo Shoot. I assume she started out helping then found this great outfit to dress him in. My daughter has really gotten into photography and I couldn’t be happier for her. I have always had a passion for photography.
My daughter dressed him up in an outfit to make him look like a cowboy and I thing she did a great job! A Mini Outdoor Photo Shoot is just that a few good images using the outdoor lighting. These photographs were taken outside on our deck and she really did a great job of capturing her brother. Next year is will be her junior year and she made Yearbook Staff. I’m not sure if it was based on her writing or her photography skills, but either way I was so proud of her. She doesn’t realize what a BID deal it is that she made Yearbook Staff, but she also doesn’t realize how many students apply for this position for juniors and seniors.
I brought out one of my old yearbooks last night to explain to her this is what she will be doing in Yearbook. The school she is out it counts as an elective and will be going to that class everyday. I applied for this class when I was in high school and wasn’t as fortunate as she was, so when I say I am excited for her I truly am. So many exciting things are going to be happening her junior year.
