This past weekend we sure put these products to the test. We had a few errands to run and it was nice outside. So, we left our boxer Abbie outside. She is a large dog. Well, while we were gone, a storm blew in and it was HUGE. 
My goodness, the rain! As we were on our way home we instantly remembered that she was outside. We both felt horrible! So as we got home it was a mad dash to get in the house, grab the Shammy and get HER inside. Oh what a mess she was. Thankfully, this shammy isn’t a “sham”! It really, truly works. We swiped her down a few good times and she was drier that ANY towel could have got her (and would have because that’s what we used before).
Soggy Doggy Doormat has two great products. We have been using both for a few weeks now and have no complaints. Here is a little about each of them:
The Soggy Doggy Super Shammy. This is the product I’m talking about in the first paragraph. It’s great. One thing that we really like about it is there are little cubbies where we can place our hands. Ya know how when you are wiping something and the towel keeps sliding out of your hands? Not the case with this! Also, it is quick drying and odor free! To clean, just put in the washer and then dry!
The Soggy Doggy Doormat. Our Abbie has pretty much claimed this as her bed. The second we put it down, she walked over and layed on it. Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to go, but we let her. 🙂 Plus, it is super soft, and she loves it! It is absorbent soaking up water and dirt, durable and pretty cute to multi-use as a doormat for our back door.
They are superabsorbent, microfiber chenille doormats and towels for wet, sloppy dogs that really do soak up water & dirt like a sponge! … great for wet boots and muddly cleats too 🙂

I started this business because I could not train my four young kids to wipe the dog’s paws before they let him in from the wet yard. Lots of yelling in my house. Lots of mess. My inspiration for the Soggy Doggy Doormat was actually a swim meet — I watched a young diver dry off with a shammy and thought “if that small piece of material can dry an entire child, why isn’t there something similar for 4 dog paws?” So I made my own. The first prototype was a disaster (lesson learned: dogs (at least my dog) hate orange!). But the next version was a hit! It really worked, the dog liked it (even to sleep on) and I wasn’t yelling at the kids!
Fast-forward to November 2010. My first order arrived in my basement and I literally drove to any pet store or home goods store I could reach before 11:45am pre-school pick-up to present the product. The store owners were intrigued and agreed to give them a shot. My first order sold out in 5 weeks…
