Sleep…we all need it right? Getting pure restful sleep is also something we need. We are usually cold at night while sleeping with being on the lower level of the house., therefore we have at least 3 blankets on the bed with the sheet.
When I was contacted by Nordic Comfort to review their product, I was very excited to see what they had. They make pillows, duvets and mattress toppers that all include silk! I can’t tell you how soft and glorious it feels. It is like touchy the softest organic material you can find. I can’t even describe it.
I received the SilkComfort duvet to review. It is simply amazing. I put on my bed the minute I got it. That night I cuddled with it before bed just feeling the softness and being all cozy warm. Ever since we have been using this duvet on our bed we only use 1 blanket and the duvet because it keeps us so warm, sometimes too warm. I put the blanket over the duvet to protect 
it until I can get a cover. The loving touch of the Mulberry silk together with 3D siliconized polyester make this duvet warm and fluffy for the ultimate in comfort and indulgence at an excellent value. It is made from organic bred long Mulberry silk fibers and 3D Polyester all wrapped up in a superb cambric cotton cover. These SilkComfort™ duvets are also complemented by NordicComfort’s CrossVent™ technology. The unique CrossVent™ pattern increases ventilation and breathability, improving the temperature regulating effect and reduces the risk of overheating.
The silk comfort range is a unique type of mix. While using the benefits of silk and the fluffiness of polyester fibres, it has all the benefits that silk has been documented to have. These include the unique transpiration ability and its unique anti-allergenic effects. The CrossVent™ weaving technology developed for NordicComfort™ makes it possible for silk to keep its maximum material strength. A study showed that even though silk is an extremely soft material, the silk fibres are stronger and more durable than metal fibres (Grande, 1988).

January 24, 2012 at 1:34 pmI don’t have a Nordic Comfort duvet, but I do love the duvet concept. The kids seems to get our white duvet cover dirty on a regular basis and I can take it off easily and wash it. Duvets are my favorite for that very reason! Plus they are so cozy and comfy.
