My shower is my sacred mom time, but like all “mom time” you gotta be quick about it because it doesn’t last for long. I gave the Schick Intuition Tropical Splash Razor a whirl and I am blown away by what a cool concept it is. Basically it’s a handle with a razor embedded in a bar of soap. The soap lathers while you shave so there is no need for shaving cream. That right there is a time and money saver. I hate balancing on one leg, holding my razor handle in my teeth, and getting my legs shaving creamed up. With this bad boy you simply pop the protective cap off and start shaving your legs.
The first time I used it I seriously thought it wasn’t shaving my legs because it felt like I was merely running a bar of soap on my legs. However, I had a fast and close shave in a fraction of the time. I can shave quickly too without the worry of nicks or cuts. A genius created it ladies, seriously!
“There is beauty in simplicity”- Schick Intuition. Couldn’t agree more with that then we do here at Simple. (Remember my 5 minute makeup routine?) Try out this razor that contains aloe and shea butter, and enjoy the 2-in-1 razor that provides convenience while delivering a unique shave experience. A few highlights of the “NEW” Schick Intuition Tropical Splash Razor:
Four-blades for a close shave
- Helps minimize nicks and cuts
- Allows for a precise shave, with a pivoting head that follows the contours of a woman’s body
- Makes it easy to experience a flawlessly smooth shave
Skin Conditioning Solid
- Eliminates the need for shave gel, soap, or body wash
- Leaves skin touchable soft and smooth
- Moisturizes during shaving
- Enriched with Shea butter and aloe

July 5, 2012 at 6:00 pmIt saves time and frustration! Figure out, with each child AND adult, what needs to be done in the morning, and just for the heck of it, the evening. Maybe even the afternoon. Write them down: Brush teeth, brush hair, take vitamins, feed animals, check homework, do chores, practice piano, etc. Next, get index cards and write one task on each card, making sure to label each with (M)orning, (A)fternoon or (E)vening. Divide into M, A and E piles. There are many options for the next step, including putting them into little magnetic folders on the ‘fridge or punching holes in the cards and putting them on a ring. Your choice. Either way, there won’t be any forgotten lunches, messy hair-dos or starving kitties forevermore.

July 5, 2012 at 3:40 pmI like to cook my meals for an entire week at one time. I find that I am more productive if I have a menu and do the cooking in one day because I tend to use alot of the same ingredients in multiple dishes. If I cook on large batch of a repeated item it is automatic time savings. Plus, I never find myself without a dinner planned on those super hectic evenings.

July 4, 2012 at 6:49 amSometimes the ok answer is using paperplates for evening snacks to minimize the accumulation of dirty dishes that takes time to clean up. The minutes you save in the evening could allow you to calmly read bedtime stories which is far more important than a clean kitchen.

July 2, 2012 at 10:43 pmWhen doing laundry, I’ve found that it’s best to get it done right away. I never leave clothes in the wash overnight. The one time I forgot about them, the next morning they had the worst smell ever! Learned from that mistake. lol Also with clothes in the dryer, they tend to be less wrinkly if you fold them right away.

June 25, 2012 at 2:46 pmI keep a basket at the top of the stairs and one at the bottom. When cleaning on one level, I put items that go to the other level in the basket and when I run to that other level, I take the basket with me and put those items away. That way I’m not always running up and down the stairs to put items away individually. Bigger kids can help empty the baskets when they get bored and are looking for something to do.
