As the holiday shopping season nears, how can anyone know what would be a great gift, under $20, for a good little girl or boy? There are so many electronics, dolls and plastic toys overflowing store shelves. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone with some expertise found an old-fashion game-in-a-box that the whole family can play? Toy extraordinaires Oppenheim Toy Portfolio had the same idea and their search landed them in Peaceable Kingdom, makers of not one but five outstanding — in fact, Platinum and Gold worthy — games.
Today I share with you Peaceable Kingdom. They sent me 2 games to play and have fun with. If you all remember Peaceable Kingdom was on SIMPLE before. You can check it out here. These games are the best. Honestly I have not seen any other games like these. The first one we got is Feed the Woozle and unlike most games Feed the Woozle encourages kids to work together feed the Woozle so he won’t be hungry. This way, kids work together, learn together and they help each other! A cooperative game eliminates stress, builds self-esteem, and teaches kids that playing together can be fun!
The other game I got was Snug as a Bug in a Rug. This game was super fun. You have to get all the little colorful bugs under the rug before the 3 stink bugs stink up the place! You have to watch closely and make those matches! Spin the spinner and find a matching bug. Then slip it under the rug. You take turns spinning and matching and try to get all the bugs under the rug before the 3 stink bugs are sitting on top. Each level adds more challenge. It great for kids to work together to find those matches and everyone wins!
I simply love that Peaceable Kingdom’s cooperative games are where all players play together against a common obstacle, not against each other. How awesome is that for young kids. It’s perfect. I do love how colorful their games are as well. Very high quality made as well.
You can’t forget their other products either. SIMPLE mom Carinn reviewed some valentine cards here and some stickers here.
Your child will sure be happy to see one of these games on Christmas morning!
