Aah, spring! I am so happy to be able to be outdoors in the sunshine and warmth! We take walks with our dog, Phineas, year round, but it’s just so much more enjoyable when it is so beautiful outside – the flowers are blooming, the trees are bursting with buds and leaves, there’s a smell of freshly cut grass in the air, the birds are singing… it’s just so lovely.
Phineas is an obedient dog and generally obeys commands, so we are able to use a retractable leash with him so he can have a little freedom on our walks, but still be reigned in when necessary.
We have a really fashionable new leash – the Avant Garde Snapshot retractable leash from 26 Bars & a Band. It is very high quality, and is really a cool design. The lock/unlock is one simple button – simply click it forward to lock, back to unlock. The retract motion of the leash is super smooth, too.
But what’s even cooler is that this Snapshot can be customized with a photo! I have two Snapshots, one for Phineas and one for Kitty, and each has their photo to designate whose is whose (cause Phineas has jealousy issues… for real).

My heart just melted! Cutest dog ever! Well, except for Phineas… he’s much cuter… but I’m probably a little biased… 🙂
Oh and yes, my cat wears a leash! We leash him for the vet instead of a crate, and the vet’s office just loves that about him! Plus if we take him camping this year (we’ve been wanting to for years, but always chicken out), the Avant Garde retractable leash will give him more room to roam.
If I ever decide that I want to change up my Snapshot leashes, I can choose of of the designer Snap Cases! I love accessorizing, so this could become an addiction (they’re only $10 each!). My favorites are Somewhere Up There and Greenday (cause I’m a hippie, remember?). Look, aren’t they just fantastic?!
