Last year, I was introduced to Recess Monkey‘s album In Tents. It is still one of our favorite family albums that I’ve brought home! Their new album, Deep Sea Diver, is poised to swim its way to the high tide end of our music list (I can’t help the puns, they just keep leaking out like ink from an octopus… see what I mean?).
Recess Monkey are clearly talented musicians who know how to craft a song that will catch your ear and get your toe tapping. Their songs are playful and fun!
Deep Sea Diver will definitely be awesome summer music by the pool. “Stranded…” feels like an ocean breeze, “Tambourine Submarine” is totally fun and danceable, “The Deep End” has a beat your hips just can’t ignore, “Choral Reef” has a friendly ukulele that makes me smile… every song has a taste of sea life – well, not literally, but figuratively. Who wants music that literally tastes like fish? *wink*

Wasn’t that just fantastic?! They are so wonderfully weird! I love them!
