The Disney Vault has OPENED and I have a series of 3 posts featuring DVD’s that were released on August 6th, 2013. I’m SO excited to share these with you as I grew up watching all three of them!  First in this series, I have Robin Hood.  Oh the memories this DVD brings.  Robin and Maid Marian, Friar Tuck, Little John…and on and on and on!

disney's robin hood 40th anniversary edition cover artA long time ago, in a faraway land, legend tells an extraordinary tale of courage and friendship…. Get ready for swashbuckling adventure, unforgettable characters, memorable music, and lots of laughs in Disney’s Robin Hood. Heroic Robin Hood — along with his trusted companion Little John and his devoted band of merry men — conjures up one famously funny and daring deed after another to outfox greedy Prince John and bring happiness to the residents of Sherwood Forest.

I was thrilled to hear of this release.  We watched this movie COUNTLESS times growing up.  Last night when we got home from the beach with my girls, we decided to make it an official movie night and pop in Robin Hood.  The girls were so curious about this as they hadn’t seen anything yet about it, regarding previews, etc.

To commemorate its 40th anniversary, Disney proudly presents the unforgettable animated classic Robin Hood on Blu-ray for the first time ever. Experience all the fun, thrills and celebrated music of this legendary adventure with perfect picture and sound! Join Robin Hood, his trusted companion Little John and his hilarious band of Merry Men as they outfox greedy Prince John to save the good people of Nottingham. Dashing from one daring deed to the next, Robin won’t rest until he wins the hand of Maid Marian and restores King Richard to the throne. One of Disney’s most beloved movies is even better on Blu-ray Combo Pack!

If you are questioning whether or not to get the upgrade to this classic movie, I wouldn’t hesitate one bit.

I’ll leave you with some of the additional features included in this DVD…
