With the school year underway, we’ve already had our fair share of battles — outfit choices, lunch choices, playing outside vs. doing homework right away, wearing school clothes and shoes to play outside at home, etc. But none of these battles even compare to the Radio Battle!
Abbi, my 7 year old, loves having music on the radio. All the time. Mostly to drown out the noise from her sister and brother. The problem is that morning radio {in my area} is not appropriate for kids. More talking than music and talking that isn’t meant for a 7 year old, 5 year old or 2 year old to hear. While i can censor music and quickly change the station on songs that aren’t appropriate for young ears, morning show chit chat can be a little more difficult. Ok, let’s be honest, most music on the radio isn’t appropriate either.
And this is why I love Kidz Bop!
I’m sure most of you have heard of Kidz Bop but, on the off chance that you haven’t, Kidz Bop are CDs that take some of the most popular music hitting the radio and makes them more kid friendly. Changing lyrics in fun ways that leave kids enjoying that same fun music but not those questionable lyrics.
We’ve enjoyed Kidz Bop music in our house for a few years now and the girls were super excited when they saw Kidz Bop 24 was being released. As a First Day of School surprise, I loaded Kidz Bop 24 into the car CD player and we {safely} rocked our way to school! And the girls loved it! They can now listen to those songs that mom usually changes the radio on!!
