At our house we celebrate Halloween but it’s not a huge holiday for us like for some other families. The kids like to dress up but we rarely buy new costumes for the occasion. We have plenty of costumes in the dress up box and if you don’t like those then I’ll be glad to help you throw something together. Sometimes they want to make something but don’t know what and I’m not crazy enough to let them look on Pinterest and find a costume that’s going to cost lots of money and/or lots of my time. But I didn’t mind them looking through the Clever Costumes book at all! The book comes not only with an instructional book but also with a piece of red fabric, elastic cord, duct tape, and velcro. My daughter saw the princess on the book’s cover and asked if we could do that but in red and black. We’re big University of Georgia fans and she wanted to be a Bulldog Princess! So we flipped to the Plucky Princess page and followed the directions!
Every single thing that we needed was either something we already had at home or something that was included with the book! It took us almost 45 minutes to make the costume (a lot of that time was devoted to curling ribbon), and we were both pleased with the results.

October 12, 2013 at 3:20 pmWe try to eat healthy snacks as often as possible. I really like the My First Wonder Woman book on the site. We have a hand-me-down Wonder Woman costume that we are wearing and this will explain who she is. They are bored with my Wonder Woman tv series on VHS that I have had for years.
