I received Heinz®, Johnsonville® and Ocean Spray® products in exchange for sharing this recipe. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The other night I tried a new recipe on my family. Da da da… Yeah, you never know how a new recipe will go over with everyone, but making it into a special occasion always seems to help around here. Go figure that when I made the Ultimate Party Meatballs recipe from Heinz®, Johnsonville® and Ocean Spray® for our Michaela-Is-Turning-6-Tomorrow-It’s-Her-Last-Night-As-A-5-Year-Old dinner/party it would be an instant hit!
Yep, I am unashamed to say that on a day when I didn’t really want to spend a lot of time prepping and cooking dinner the Ultimate Party Meatballs were a great go-to solution. Plus, we turned an ordinary Monday night dinner into a celebration and that turned picky eaters into plate cleaners.
Next time I have a last minute “bring a dish to pass” event (or really any event where I want to have an easy prep dish to pass) I’ll be making up a batch or two of the Ultimate Party Meatballs. The recipe is so simple that it can go into my “don’t even need to write it down” mental recipe filing system!
To make the Ultimate Party Meatballs Recipe it only takes three ingredients:
- 1 – 12 oz. bottle of Heinz® Chili Sauce
- 1 – 14 oz. can Ocean Spray® Jellied Cranberry Sauce
- 1 – 24 oz. package frozen, fully cooked, Johnsonville® Classic Italian Meatballs
For complete instructions check out the Ultimate Party Meatballs Recipe HERE. I used the Saucepan Preparation method and had a everything ready in less than half an hour. This recipe is so simple you don’t even need to write it down to remember!
Here’s some great tips that Heinz®, Johnsonville® and Ocean Spray® have passed along for their Ultimate Party Meatball Recipe as well.
- For homemade meatballs, substitute ground sausage.
- Feeling Saucy? Double the sauce ingredients for ultimate sauciness.
- Spicy more your thing? Add 1 tsp. cumin and 1/4 tsp. cayenne to your sauce.
With the cold weather moving and some Ultimate Party Meatballs leftover in the fridge I’m already planning a next day leftover lunch of Ultimate Party Meatball subs!

October 23, 2013 at 2:13 pmthat looks yummy, I would never have thought of adding the cranberry and chili sauce together. This is one that we will be trying, I can see the easy cleanup with using the Italian meatballs that are already prepared.. thank you for the recipe!
