With just 28 shopping days until Christmas I am feeling keenly aware of the fact that I have not yet completed a single person on our Christmas Shopping List (at this crunch point I count the ability to shop online between making stuffing and stuffing myself on Thanksgiving as a shopping day).

Go For The Dough® Board Game :: the day after we first played this game my husband came home from a business trip & I listened in as my 3-year-old explained how great the game was to him “You go around and deliver pizzas and COLLECT ALL THE MONEY!!!” I won’t be correcting her anytime soon that the really fun “pizza game” is actually helping to improve word recall, describing, semantic flexibility, and phonemic awareness skills for her and her sister.

Word Joggers® for Categories :: a fun twist on the traditional bingo game for grades PreK-5 that targets language processing skills needed for identifying, describing, and categorizing items.

Story Prediction :: 56 cards that each have a short story (1-2 sentences) for kids to read or listen to. Kids choose the correct “what comes next?” selection from the provided choices and illuminate the answer with the provided decoder keychain. For grades 1-8 and the decoder keychain is definitely a motivating factor in how often my kiddo plays this game.
