go retro with avon’s new mailyn tote & wallet set :: review

Remember the AVON lady? My grandma used to be one. This meant that from the young age of 5, I sampled any and all shades of lipstick that AVON had to offer. Most of the time, my sweet grandmother did not even know I was raiding her beauty cabinet. But oh, I had such fun! And how fun is it that AVON is still around and is still revolutionizing the beauty industry to this day! AVON is “the company that stands for beauty, innovation, empowerment & above all for women,” and their latest offering shows that they are still at the top of their game. Their new Mailyn set features a beautiful tote bag that can go from day to night with its multipurpose size and sleekness. The matching wallet is trendy, functional and can double as a clutch since its compartments open up to fit more than your average wallet can. I love the dark chocolate color of the print and how the subtle accents give each piece just the perfect amount of flair.

And here is my favorite part. This set boasts their self-titled iconic 4A monogram, which is so old school that it is now new school. This fun and funky pattern was AVON’s logo in the 60’s and 70’s (think Mad Men style) and now it has come back to make itself known to our generation. The colors of this set are timeless and go with basically any outfit, from professional daywear to the sexy night scene. The bag is big without being bulky and is fully lined with an interior pocket.
