This past summer at my family’s annual 4th of July get-together I noticed that one of my cousins had on a nifty bracelet. Asking her about it I discovered that she was wearing a Road ID in case she ever had something happen while she did all her Triathlon training (turns out it was the Wrist ID Sport).
Knowing a brilliant idea when I see one I decided to look into Road ID. Being a busy mom it took me a while but here I am today sharing with our readers a couple of products from Road ID that I think all moms should have.
If you’re thinking “Well, I don’t do any sports training on my own so this isn’t for me.” Think again! With all the car accidents I keep hearing about this winter I am constantly reminded why I want to have a physical notice on my body so a first responder can know who to contact in case of an emergency.
“Well, I always have my phone on me.” My phone is always with me too, it also has a passcode lock so my kids can’t call China or make a couple hundred bucks of in-app purchases. With this being said, I recently used the Road ID App to create a custom Lock Screen that contains my emergency contact info. There are a lot of other great features for the app that you can learn about on their website HERE.
Of course, sometimes you can forget your phone, or the battery dies, or your kid throws it in the lake/toilet/bathtub/kitchen sink and it cannot be saved. You never know when an accident is going to happen and I’d always rather be prepared. I now have a personalized Road ID Wrist ID Elite that tells anyone who needs to know not only my name, but also my emergency contact, as well as some of my pertinent medical info.
There’s even the Wrist ID Slim that can fit kids and toddlers (the bands are sized). I’m thinking this would be a great way for my girls to each carry my husband’s and my contact info with them. Even if they know your number a kid can get overwhelmed and forget in the moment of an emergency.
With all the various Road ID style, band, badge, and personalization options you’re sure to find the perfect Road ID for everyone in your family!
