I distinctly remember growing up and playing
The Game of Life with my sister. We lived in the country and when we weren’t outside playing, we were inside playing games. Whether it was board games or make-believe games. We were constantly keeping busy with “non” technology. And I’d like to think we turned out ok! 🙂 I recently received The Game of Life to show you all on here, and gosh, did that bring back the memories! Having kids, getting hitched and racing to see who was the millionaire at the end. It was so much fun then and it’s even more fun now!
The reason I say it’s more fun now is because I am playing it with my daughter. So I get to see the glimmer in her eye as she spins the wheel and waits to see what space she lands on.
This past weekend, my husband, my 7 year old and I all hovered around the dining room table and played our first game together, while younger sisters napped. Lilianna was the banker, so that was fun having her use her math skills to figure out what change we needed and at what times. It was a blast! The game isn’t one that lasts hours either. We were able to play in about 1/2 an hour and we started another game too! She wanted to keep going and going 🙂
The Game of Life is idea for ages 8+ and 2-4 players.

February 9, 2014 at 2:50 pmI played it as a kid but not as much as Monopoly. I would love to learn to play it again as my granddaughter is with me every weekend and she loves to play board games. Board games are also a good activity to get kids away from all of the electronics that are glued to their hip.
