misfitwearables_logowithnameHas anyone else been in the search for the perfect activity monitor? I knew that if I had a good activity monitor it would help keep me motivated to be more active on a daily basis; however I had some pretty stringent requirements. After looking at quite a few of the options out there I stumbled across Shine from Misfit Wearables and I am so glad I found them!shine front misfit wearables featured image

There’s a lot of things I love about my Shine activity monitor, but first of all is that I can wear my Shine all the time. No really, All. The. Time. Walking, running, sleeping, swimming, showering, doing dishes, cycling, date night… I never have to take my Shine activity monitor off!

You can wear your Shine rain or shine for outdoor activities, while swimming, or in my case, chasing children through the wading pool and while octopus wrestling (better known as bath time).

For most activities I rock my Shine using the included Sport Band, but when running/walking or cycling I’ve found that clipping my Shine to my shoe using the Magnetic Clasp (also included) seems to work best. Monitoring my sleep patterns is easy with the comfortable Sport Band and I’ve found that the Magnetic Clasp is a great way to wear my Shine when dressed up for date night.shine with clasp misfit wearables

Even my kids enjoy double tapping on my device to see my daily progress on the halo lights and syncing my device to the Shine app on my iPhone is super easy. Once synced it’s nice to see more details about my daily activity, including step counts, calories burned, and miles walked. There’s even an estimate of how many minutes of walking you need to complete your daily goal.

I can’t say enough good things about Shine and highly recommend that you check out their site for all the details I couldn’t fit into my review!

This is super cute! I like sporting, simple looks. I dont know that I would wear it all the time but it would definitely look good with everything!

I really like the idea of being able to wear it all the time….. versus the fitbit one I have that you have to take off and on. But no tablet or smartphone, so I guess I will stick with my fitbit
