learn to walk in first baby shoes :: review

About a week ago, I was standing in our bedroom and watched as my son took one little staggering step from the doorjamb to the door. That was the beginning… it was the beginning of those little wobbly steps that have quickly turned into a soft pitter patter. It’s becoming less and less frequent to hear his sweet little baby hands pat-pat the floor as he crawls, and the day that he came walking into the room my heart cried, “Don’t grow up any faster!”

First Baby Shoes logoThose first steps are such a special and momentous occasion… ones that should be celebrated and remembered. What better way to commemorate those first few steps than with a pair of First Baby Shoes?

The GiKO slippers from First Baby Shoes are perfect for those first few steps. The soft leather makes walking comfortable and protects their little feet while maintaining a “barefoot” motion. These slipper are great for creating extra grippy for those unsteady steps. The leather is also very breathable… their feet might be little, but they can still sweat! It’s lots of work learning to walk!

First Baby Shoes knows how important it is to be involved with this special occasion and gives you the opportunity to customize the GiKO. You have the option to choose the leather color, lace color and also fun buttons! When the slippers arrive, you will be the one to lace the shoes because First Baby Shoes wants you to be as involved as possible with this keepsake.

Most of my son’s first steps have been in these slippers and because they are made from durable leather, I know that they will be a keepsake for years to come! They are definitely one of my favorite “baby items” for my son and are held dear to me. Everywhere I go, people comment on how wonderful these are. You can see my little man walking in the video below.

If you haven’t already, be sure to check out First Baby Shoes. You will not be disappointed!
