Ah, spring. It is {finally} upon us! And for us Michiganders (Michiganians???) this means pulling out the flip flops and tees even if there is a snowbank or two still sprinkling the landscape. I have talked before about the joy of a comfy t-shirt. And it is so true. The feel of soft cotton on a lazy Saturday is a simple pleasure, one that I try not to take for granted (especially now that I am a working mama and have to “dress up” five days a week for work). I discovered the Talking Shirt on a little site you may have heard of called jane (formerly very jane). I saw their perfectly wonderful “beYOU{tiful}” tees and was instantly smitten.
I was even more tickled to discover that they have a full line of t-shirts with positive messages for boys, girls and mamas too. Their product line is a breath of fresh air in a smog-filled world. I, for one, am sick to death of those t-shirt carts in the mall selling negative messages meant to be “funny.” I won’t get on my soapbox but I think you know what I am talking about. Every message printed on a Talking Shirt tee is meant to uplift, praise, and bring sunshine to all who wear and see it. Some of my favorites are “It’s a Good Day to have a Good Day” (for moms) and “Don’t Forget to Be Awesome” (for little boys). I also love the girls shirt that reads “It’s Nice to be Pretty but it’s Prettier to be Nice.” Like I said, sunshine all around.
They have a cut and color for every person and body shape, and the quality and comfort of their products make them a win-win for anyone. My daughter and I have matching beYOU{tiful} shirts (mine is grey and hers is pink so we compliment each other without being too matchy matchy) and she loves putting hers on when she sees me in mine. And of course it makes this mama happy to see that she wants to be like me, even at age 6. Life is good.
