Turns out I am horrible at cleaning windows. Like, really horrible. So horrible that my husband is ok that I don’t clean windows very often. He actually insists on it when it comes to the cars because, apparently, dirty windows are better than streaky windows.
I’ve pretty much tried every “streak-free” promising window cleaner out there. Home remedies? Tried ’em. Paper towels? Newspaper? Microfiber cloths? Yup, yup, and yup. And still streaky windows.
So I found it quite ironic when we received an email from the team at Invisible Glass right when I was in the throws of Spring Cleaning. “Streak-free Glass Cleaner”….”Makes Glass Invisible”….yeah, right! I’ll take that challenge!
So, on the first real warm Spring day, I stripped the windows of their screens and went to work with my Invisible Glass, cleaning away the layers of dirt and grime and kids’ finger prints. And then something crazy happen. After the first cleaning, the dirt and such was gone. After a second cleaning, the windows were crystal clean and streak free. Like actually streak free.
Then I used the Invisible Glass Reach & Clean Tool to reach the spots that I was too short normally reach. And I used it on the cars’ windshields where it was always super awkward to try to reach because my short arms just couldn’t do it. Again, streak-free.
I honestly would not have believed it if I hadn’t tried it myself and I really wish I could show you some before and after pictures, but they really didn’t do it justice.
So now I’m back on window cleaning duty, per my husband’s amazement at the new streak free windows.
While I appreciate my very clean and streak-free windows, I’m not so sure I’m excited to have my restored window cleaning responsibilities. Hmm….
