“in ssuummmmmeerrrrr” i wear conversation pieces (sung in my best olaf voice) :: review

The grass is getting green. The flowers are sprouting. The trees are getting leaves. And me? I’m getting my summer fashion all stocked up! I received a few great pieces for this summer that are going to blow you away for their style and great prices. Pieces that almost anyone can wear and rock it out. No joke. 🙂 Get ready for your summer vacations and getaways and stock those suitcases with Conversation Pieces items!

This month’s blogger challenge from Conversation Pieces was to find your summer in her shop – and pick out what makes a great outfit complete for summer getaways and perfect vacations. And find my summer I did! From the fabulous dresses she has (how does one choose just ONE!!??) to the sandals, shorts and accessories. She has everything fully stocked and ready for you to shop!

I started with these wonderful, lightweight, floral shorts. OMGosh floral this summer! Love it! When I read the description, they called for an elastic waist. You either love these or you don’t, however, I think this feature MAKES these shorts! It gives a ton of flexibility with where you can wear these on your body. If you like to wear your shorts low or high, you can do that. I just LOVE these. Pick a color in the shorts and accent that color with corresponding with jewelry.  There are some floral black shorts as well that I have my eye on and will be spending some of my birthday month on most likely. THAT’S how much I love these shorts! Pack these away in your suitcase too, very lightweight and ready to travel!

I paired the shorts with a basic black top, like her perfect drape tunic, and then added pops of color to complete it. The Sunny Drop Necklace matched with the Island Bracelet were right up my alley. I have worn these two pieces a multitude of times already…together and separate. They are simple enough to wear alone or with other jewelry. LOVE!!

I also received the south of the border blouse. This is a fun one! I loved popping color in with this gorgeous, intricate print top. 100% polyester, lightweight.  The layer at the bottom extends this shirt to make it more of a tunic length. Very flattering with something more fitted on the bottom. I typically wear a medium in shirts, and opted for the large in this one. My bust is large right now due to nursing, so this was a wise choice. There is a band that separates the top and bottom and gives it a great look, while adding a bit of form to the shirt.
