keep your lunches cool this summer and all school year long :: review

packit logoEven though school just got out, that doesn’t mean we stop packing lunches! We have already gone on some fun, all day adventures this summer. Kids eat a LOT and they tend to eat quite frequently. I was recently given two PackIt Freezable Lunch Bags for my girls and they have come in quite handy in this hot summer heat already!

Meet PackIt…

The one and only freezable cooler that keeps food and drinks cold for up to 10 hours—no ice packs needed!

We ventured to the zoo last week and before we left, we packed some snacks in our lunch bags. The great thing about using the PackIt Bags are there aren’t floating ice bags all over the place. We don’t have the wet, dripping effect either! Food and munchies stay cold and NOT wet. WIN!

packit bagsWe are also planning on taking a few longer, day trips this summer and I know these will be great for that.

How they work. A question I had when I first heard about these. First off, you pop them in the freezer the night before (at least 12 hours), and that will make them cold enough to last a good 10 hour day max. There is gel on the inside that makes this happen.

In comparison to other lunch boxes, size is about the same. A great alternative to lunch boxes you currently use! There is a nifty little handle for easy carrying for your child or yourself.

I plan to use these for the girls’ lunches when they head back to school in the fall too!

Talk to me! What do you think of these? Have you used them before or even heard of them? Can you see yourself picking one up for your child(ren)?

These look like a great option for school lunches for my kids, love the styles and ease of use. I like how these are easier to store.

My daughter used a PackIt all last year for her lunch. Sometimes she’d bring home some leftovers and they were still cold. We had problems with the velcro closure not grabbing as well near the end of the year but I understand the new Pack-Its have a zipper closure. It’s on our back to school shopping list.
