how to style strappy boots, flannel and colored pants :: review {RealMomStyle}

It’s boot season, and I couldn’t be happier! Remember when I posted a sneak peek of some boots I’m sporting this season? Well, I am finally sharing them with you! Sorry on the delay with all that – I’m glad I got the teaser post in so you could do some shopping. I came down with an AWFUL cold and was basically useless!

I am loving these boots with tight at the ankle, skinny jeans, dresses and even some looser skinny jeans with an allotted ruffle at the bottom, per how I style it. They are so versatile! And comfortable…oh wow the comfort!! I will show you two ways I have worn these boots so far this season in this post. I hope you can relate to these or what I mention so you too can learn how to wear these. At least, how I wear these!

We were in Traverse City for the weekend, doing some fun things in addition to wine taste testing a few weeks back. I knew I had to bring these. There would be a lot of walking, yet I still wanted something cute! I paired these boots with some colored Kara Jeans and a sweater from PrAna. I loved it. I loved the pops of color and I LOVED that my feet didn’t hate me after walking around an entire day in a pair of shoes that have slight heels. Winning for sure!

I did want to mention. I put these boots on with my Kara jeans from prAna, and I was not comfortable in that combination the first way I wore it. I folded the pants over and then sort of tucked them in the pants. They weren’t completely straight and I feel bunched in the wrong areaa. I never want to have bunchy-ness coming out of the boots, unless it’s meant to look that way. So, I ended up unfolding the pants and making my own “bunch”. I felt MUCH more comfortable! Isn’t fashion funny? You have to LOVE what you are wearing, or at least feel good about it. When I had them in an uncomfortable way, I felt uncomfortable. As soon as I changed it up, my posture became better and I made better eye contact too! Aren’t we funny 🙂

Another time I wore these boots was when I had a bunch of errands to do and dance classes to bring my girls to. The life of a mom for sure! Always running somewhere and doing something for her sweet kiddos 🙂 Anyways, plaid and flannel are all the rage right now and I’m trying to embrace it. I love the pattern of the flannel, if you look up close it has polka dots. I paired it with some hot pink earrings to match the pink in the shirt.
