It’s all about the robots this year!  It’s what the kids want right?  Let me introduce you to WowWee, a company that makes some pretty cool robots.  Two of which we got to try out and play with, along with a fun figurine with cool hair that likes to dance.

First….Meet…MiP!

MiP (short for Mobile Inverted Pendulum) is the latest innovation by WowWee.  With its unique dual wheel balancing, MIP is a fully interactive robot able to navigate its surroundings while controlled by hand movements using GestureSense™ technology, or through a Bluetooth link to any smart device using the free app. Play games, make MiP dance to any song in your iTunes® library, and more! MiP has an inquisitive and responsive personality that is communicated through motion, sound, and its LED “eyes”. Along with a tray accessory that can be attached, MiP can balance multiple objects while moving or standing still, including another MiP! MiP is the must have toy for tech and robot fans of all ages!  This lil guy is available at Target, Toys R Us, Kohl’s, K-Mart, Wal-Mart and additional retailers for $99.99.  Well worth it.  My soon to be 8 year old is just amazed by this lil robot.  It is quite fun and amazing at all the things he can do.  He loves to play games with him and balance stuff.  It is very easy to control with the awesome free app.

 

Next Meet the Elektrokidz™

Elektrokidz are the first ever music -inspired figurines whose hair “dance” to the beat of the music you are listening to!  There are six unique Elektrokidz in six unique finishes, including shiny gold and chrome, and each come with their own stylized shades.  Each Elektrokidz has its own special hair movement that moves to the beat and no two Elektrokidz hair dance the same way, so collect them all to be United by the Beat!  The perfect stocking stuffer or present under $20!  These are available at all Toys R Us store for about $14.99. My daughter just love music so I knew she would totally love this.  Guess what….I was right.  She loves to put on some music and watch the hair move.  It is pretty cute to watch.  It would be even more fun it you had several to watch them all go.  Each kid needs one of these.  Hours of fun I tell ya!

Lastly, say Hello to Tipster!

Introducing Tipster,  “My First Robot” and WowWee’s first ever entry-level robot! Tipster loves to play, move around, balance, spin, and more!  Tipster enables children to experiment with weights and balances using mini-Tipster character pieces and ladders to hone his or her motor skills in an unforced way that promotes learning, all while being challenging and fun at the same time! This one is available at Toys R Us, Target.com and at wowwee.com for $49.99.  This super cool robot is my daughter’s favorite.  She loves to watch him move around, spin and balance the monkeys.  It’s fun to watch all the different things this lil robot can do. It is easily controlled with its remote and very much little kid friendly.

I am pretty excited that my kids will be playing with toys this coming year and not so much on the tv, video games and tablets.  They will be learning and teaching each other how much fun they can have without those things.  These robots would be a great gift for under your tree this year.
