Let’s chat about Christmas Stockings for a minute, ladies. Specifically those Stocking Stuffers!
To be transparent, stocking stuffers are never over the top in our house. Just some simple little goodies for the kids. But, if I don’t do my proper planning and add specific items to the shopping list, I find myself stuffing their stockings with cheap, junky things.
Here are our three SIMPLE Stocking Suffer must-haves for simple and fun stockings ::
1. Sweet Treats
Because we inevitably still have gobs of Halloween candy stashed in the kitchen cupboard, we tend to not focus much on sweets in the stockings. Instead, we add just one or two special holiday treats — a candy cane, little bag of chocolate kisses, or some cane in a cute Christmas-y tin.
2. Everyday Essentials
It’s amazing how happy a new pair of socks, mittens, or toothbrush make my kids! Stockings are a great opportunity to give a jazzed up version of those everyday essentials. A toothbrush they can personalize with stickers or plays some fun tunes while brushing. Sparkly hair accessories. Or socks featuring a favorite new character.
3. Something Special
Our stockings always include a fun new toy or trinket. For my son, cars and crayons are a hit! But, for my girls, especially my pre-teen, it becomes more tricky.
They would both love make-up or nail polish in their stockings but I know they’re still too young for traditional products. That’s why I love Luna Star Naturals!
No harmful or mystery ingredients, Luna Star Naturals offers high quality play makeup kits and polishes perfect for little girls! My girls especially love the PINKi Naturali nail polish.
Designed for 2-3 day wear, the PINKi Naturali nail polish features Color ‘N Peel technology that allows you to remove the polish without the use of a chemical nail polish remover. This makes my mom-mid rest easier when they are asking to paint their nails every week. And, with PINKi Naturali polish available in a variety of fun colors, I can get pink and sparkles for my girly-girl Zoe (Denver and Indianapolis are her favorites — see below) and blue (Salem) or green (Saint Paul) for my “anything EXCEPT pink” Abbi. The smaller bottles also make it a lot esker for the girls to use the polish all on their own, which makes them feel so grown-up!
What are your Stocking Stuffer secrets? Must-haves? Items to avoid? Special traditions?
A SIMPLE GIVEAWAY!
To help ease your Stocking Stuffer shopping, we’re giving away two bottles of Luna Star Naturals’ PINKi Naturali polish {winner’s choice of colors based on availability, est. value $17.98}. Winner can select from Nashville (Red), Denver (Hot Pink), Sacramento (Baby Pink Shimmer), Juneau (Pearly White), Montgomery (Peach), Salem (Metallic Blue), Augusta (Sunflower Yellow), Concord (Baby Purple), Hartford (Baby Violet), Indianapolis (Silver Sparkles), Saint Paul (Green), and Little Rock (Powder Blue).
