Are you in the holiday spirit yet?  For us, it doesn’t come until after the tree is up and decorated. As you noticed, we were a little behind on getting our cards done this year. I couldn’t stop with just that, we were behind on getting the tree decorated as well. Decorating the house for Christmas is part of what makes it feel like the holidays, don’t you think?

It was perfect timing actually because I was thinking I’d love to have a different look to my tree this year.  Now, have you ever shopped at Kmart or Sears for your Christmas tree needs?  I, for one just love their style of decor for the holidays.  I was very excited when they asked me to check out a tree trimming kit they have called I heart Christmas.  This kit includes everything you need to decorate your tree.  I am a lover of themed trees, so this fit perfectly into what I had envisioned for this year.  In the years to come, I know that we will eventually have two trees so we can fill one up with handmade ornaments and the other we can have as a theme such as this.

The kit arrived super quick and in enough time to enjoy it before Christmas day.  I can’t express enough how much I am in love with the bright colors of this theme.  From pinks, to blues to greens this kit is sure to brighten anyone’s day.  The kids were so excited they couldn’t wait to decorate the tree.  With little penguins, owls, snowmen and ice skates, we were ready to them all in their place on our tree. It even came with traditional bulbs to hang, along with words, lollipops and twirly ribbon.  It all will be finished off with a big red bow on top.

The excitement on my kids faces every time they put an ornament on the tree was priceless.  They had so much fun with each one.  My favorite are the words and pink twirly tundrels coming down from the top.  It’s not all about the red and green for us this year, we are expanding and making Christmas bright and colorful.
