Today I have something that my 3 year old has been playing with daily. Right now, we have wicked cold weather outside. I always wanted to have a fun playhouse for the kids to party in outside, on sunny and warm days, but for now, this awesome Happy Home Cottage & Grill™ is inside for my girls to play with. Just the other day she had a little friend over, and they were playing in it, using their imagination, most of the time she was here.
I wanted to share this with you so you too could see what there is to love and why your kiddos would love to have one of their own! Not only is it a fun house play structure, but the way it is made, and all the little details, makes this simply fabulous.
There is a doorbell…that actually works once you put batteries in it. Right below the doorbell is a slot for mail. So fun!! The interior floor is set up to appear that it’s a real floor. The good news for you though, if you do put this outside, there is a drain. No pooling of water for puddle jumping after a storm. YAY!
The window and the door have moving parts that make them work like actual windows and doors. It’s fun for them to open and close to their heart’s content!
Stickers make a fun effect on the cottage. Speaking of cool effects, there is an area that you could plant an actual plant or place a fake plant in it too. Right now, we are using it as an additional storage area when the kids are playing. 🙂
The “kitchen” has fun details as well! On one side of the window is a kitchen with a sink, and outside that same window, there is a grill. I can’t tell you how many “meals” I have had from this grill already!!
The set-up is pretty standard for something of this size. I wasn’t taken back at all. We set it up in our basement, and it was simple.
This is sold exclusively at Toys R Us. You can find one near you on the sidebar of Step2, or keep reading below on how you can enter to win one of your own!!
What do you think? Would the little ones in your life love this as much as my kids do? Talk to me!

January 25, 2015 at 10:40 amThe special features like the doorbell, shutters and door make it more life like for little ones. I love all of Step 2 products. As a mom of 4, ranging from 10 to 3, we’ve had quite a few in our house over the years. The prices can’t be beat!

January 24, 2015 at 8:21 pmMy favorite feature of the Step 2 Happy Home Cottage & Grill is the working shutters. My little one loves playing “Drive Thur” and that’s a perfect window to serve plenty of great meals from the grill. I would like to learn more about the Step 2 Easy Turn Coupe would make our “Drive Thru” restaurant more popular.
