make your kids’ clothing po.p with polarn o. pyret :: review

poplogoI love Polarn O. Pyret—the uber-cool Swedish company responsible for some of the adorable outfits we’ve seen on our favorite celebrities like {the always perfectly-dressed} Prince George. From classic stripes to twirl dresses to high-performance outerwear, PO.P makes clothing that is both beautiful and durable.

popshelfSince Polarn O. Pyret is a European company, they offer options not found in your typical US mall stores.  I love the unique styles that you won’t find on every other child.  Their basics are a more than just “basic” and their party-wear is completely functional.  PO.P knows that kids need to play–and they make their clothes ready to stand up to the wear and tear of play.  Lots of play.

poppjsBecause their clothing wears like steel, you’ll find yourself passing it down to younger children, surprised that it’s still in such great condition.  PO.P wants parents to consider stepping away from our throw-away culture and consider spending a bit more on a high quality piece of clothing, handing it down to other siblings and then {surprised that it’s still in such great condition}, consigning it or passing it along to a friend.  I always get excited when my youngest wears pieces that my older two also wore.  You’ll find many of the gender neutral clothes of PO.P look as adorable on girls and boys.

outside 017I recently tried out the {now sold-out} limited edition kitchen collection. Since I have two boys and a girl, one of the things I first noticed and most appreciated about the collection was that it’s gender neutral—my daughter and my sons all thought the apron and oven mitts were great and were excited to cook with me. I welcome any help in the kitchen so that was a huge bonus. And since PO.P both wears and washes well, I’m okay if my kids get messy in the kitchen—a quick wash and it’s good as new.

Take a peek around at the Polarn O. Pyret website and tell me what you love best about their clothes.

My daughter has a Polarn O Pyret fleece jacket and it’s probably the highest-quality clothing item she owns. I’m always impressed with their clothes! The kitchen set you reviewed looks great… I’ll have to keep it in mind for a birthday gift for my daughter. 🙂
