I could just stare at my sweet little boy all day long. The way his eyes light up at the sight of a new book or how his agile fingers lovingly/gingerly turn the pages to a new discovery, it’s those little moments… those little things matter so much to this mama heart of mine! The way his lips curl into a smile at a funny picture and how he animatedly tells me about what he sees on each page, I don’t want those moments to end.
This is what Levels of Discovery wants to promote for all children… Where little things matter!
Levels of Discovery has turned one of our favorite bedtime stories into adorable furniture. The Very Hungry Caterpillar takes on new life in the form of a bookcase, rocking chair and storage bench! All of these items would make a great addition to any child’s playroom OR because the furniture is heavy and made from quality materials you can easily keep it in your living room without it appearing too childish.
My son and I received The Very Hungry Caterpillar Rocking Chair, and I was very impressed by the weight of the product! So much of children’s furniture feels cheap and light, but this definitely is a cut above the rest. I can rest easy that this chair will withstand the use of a very active 2 year old! 🙂
Putting the chair together proved a little difficult. Some of the holes did not line up properly, but I was still able to successfully put the chair together WITHOUT help from my husband! haha… A little word of caution, I tightened all the screws down very tightly because I wanted to make sure that everything was securely in place. Unfortunately, I tightened them a little too much. I did not realize that the screws would push through the top of the chair causing the paint to pop slightly. It’s not super noticeable but I thought it worth mentioning!
Overall we are very pleased with this sweet rocking chair. My son loves playing with the spinning blocks and his favorite part is the book holder on the side of the chair. On any given day, it will hold several books, trains, legos and whatever else his two-year-old little mind thinks to put in there! 🙂 The vibrant colors and working clock are great additions to an already wonderful product!
If you want to add new Levels of Discovery to your child’s life, pick up one of the new pieces from The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
