There is no denying that babies are extremely adorable. The way they smell, their squishy little faces, how they snuggle right in for cuddling… sigh. Yep, babies are pretty wonderful. Of course, they also tend to be really great at leaking. Leaks out their front, leaks out their back, leaks out their faces…
Thankfully their little tiny diapers catch the grossest of the fluids but let us not forget all the stuff that can come out of those adorably innocent baby faces. Drool. Snot. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Bibs do a great job for a lot of these incidents but bibs are for protecting the baby’s clothes. Let us not forget ourselves, our fellow loved ones, and our friends – none of whom really enjoy wearing leaky baby leftovers.
Confession :: every time I hold a baby without a burp cloth covering my shoulder/arm/chest I feel as if I am playing with a ticking time bomb. Murphy’s Law and all that.
With all this being said I am a firm believer in stocking up on burp cloths. Lots and lots and lots of burp cloths. While quantity is important (you NEVER want to have all the burp cloths in the wash at once) quality is just as big of a deal.
