Since our Charlie is the first child to reach the size 6 diaper scene, I guess it’s time to potty train the boy because our next option is DEPENDS. He just turned 2 and he’s smart. I think he’s ready, but am I?
I really dislike potty training the kids, but I hate buying diapers even more so we are gonna rip the band-aid off and get this potty training show on the road. I’ve had numerous friends (moms such as Shannon and Gina) suggest the 3 day potty training format. I’m willing to try it, but I am super skeptical it could work.
Day 1:
We (Charlie) ended the day with diarrhea (still getting over a bug)…I’m thinking we are going to need to pick a new 3 days to train the potty out of this kid. We did have a good first day with only 2 accidents, BUT he only went to the bathroom twice all day. So the 2x he went were in his pants. He’s got a bladder of steal. They didn’t have a chapter on that! I’m shaking my head and laughing. I hear I’ll be crying tomorrow (TBD if we continue).
In other news, his thighs were too fat for his underwear. Like couldn’t pull the leg holes over his legs on the Lightning McQueen pair he really wanted to wear. Time to get some Conni Kids underwear for Charlie. It’s my favorite underwear for the kids. It’s only right that Charlie has a few pairs.
If you are curious about the book I referenced…here ya go! We shall see how the potty training student (and teacher) do tomorrow. Good luck! 🙂 Any advice, comments, or questions?

May 19, 2015 at 12:02 pm3 Day Potty Training?!? You go mom! Personally, I was probably the luckiest mom in the world. My son was a clean freak and only one number 2 accident…ever! I was so horrified at the thought of rinsing out his underwear I through them away! LOL! I was just young and freaked out. I sure wish you lots and lots of luck and Charlie especially. Hope he is over the bug.

May 19, 2015 at 10:55 amWell starting to potty train a toddler while he has the runs, I would think that would be kinda hard. I am looking forward to your posts on this subject. If the method works for you, I’ll pass it on to my daughter whose baby just turned one. She’ll be looking into info on this in a bit.
