must haves for 1st time moms including diaper genie elite :: printable list

Let’s talk about being a first time mom. Preparing for a baby for the first time is a big deal and with all the product out there it can get very overwhelming. All you seasoned moms out there did you know what you were doing when you had your 1st baby? I know for sure I didn’t. I had a ton of help and guidance on what needed to be done and what we needed to get.  Yes, of course there are the obvious things you need to get, but for a 1st time mom to just know what to get is hard.

It’s nice to get ideas from moms with more then two kiddos on what is needed.  I know for a fact many of the things I thought I needed for first baby, I definitely do not need for baby three.

So your baby will require a few basic things, first of all a safe place to sleep, safe place in the car, diapers, clothing and a few essentials for feeding and getting around. So, these are some of my must haves for baby #3 coming in December.  But, let me get you a more detailed list.
You are going to need a diapers and wipes. But most importantly, what will you keep those dirty diapers in until they can get out to the trash? Yup, that’s right…a Diaper Genie Elite.  The most coolest invention for those dirty diapers. It is an easy to use system that will not fail you.  It has the ultimate odor lock system. We all know babies are cute but sometimes they can get stinky. With the double lock design, it seals away odor any time you drop a diaper into it. A safe, natural activated carbon filter absorbs strong diaper odors and built-in antimicrobial inhibits odors caused by bacteria on the pail.

The tall ergonomical shape and design means you don’t have to bend of a million times a day to throw away a diaper. It has a great foot pedal that opens the lid for easy use to drop the diaper in. Get this, guess how many diapers this thing can hold, not that you want to do this many but interesting for sure.  270! Now, that’s a lot of diapers.  While shopping at Target one day I had to pick up this fantastic product.
So you get my point of the diaper genie elite and what a must have item this has to be in your baby’s room.  Let’s finish up this list. You can’t forget a sturdy and safe crib, swaddles/sleep sacks, baby monitor and swing/bouncer.  These are all items I could not go a day without when having a newborn.  Of course a infant tub and after bath mat was also a must.  My mom made me this fantastic soft squeeshy mat for baby to lay on when getting out of the tub. It was perfect to get baby dried off, lotion on and dressed.

Lastly, I would definitely consider a nursing pillow, bottles, a sling/baby carrier/wrap for wearing your baby, pacifiers, and breast pump.  A high chair is also a great idea for a little later on. I know it seems like a lot of things to get for your baby, but all a great investment and will definitely get used.  Plus many things will be great for baby #2 and 3.
