getting active with k-mart this back-to-school season

I mentioned last week, and shared with you about some back-to-school fashions from Kmart. I ran out of time in the post to share with you the look my 9-year-old decided upon. So, I had to come back and share it with you! I know you have been anxiously waiting to see her picks, especially after me telling you how she’s changed so much lately with her ‘style.’ So, let’s get on with it!

One thing I really did like about Kmart was their simplicity in their back-to-school clothing section. Things were arranged accordingly and easy to shop through. I think that’s great for the little ones who want to shop like their parents….my 9-year-old being that kid. We circled the section a couple times and put a few things in the basket. She is in between sizes right now, so trying the clothes on was necessary. After the second loop, I had to put the pressure on. She had a handful of things she liked, but no full-on outfit. We went there to specifically get a full outfit, so we had some deciding to do.

She has really been in to the sports and workout pants lately. She sees the ones I wear and wants to get some, so that is the direction she went. I am completely fine with her wearing clothes like this to school. They aren’t revealing and I know she will be comfortable. This particular outfit will be worn probably weekly on her gym day at school. 🙂

This set actually came in multiple colors and multiple outfit variations. We found this all in her size, so that’s what we went with!

Not only do we have clothes figured out in this active look, but my daughter found some great shoes to keep at school. I don’t know about your children’s school, but ours require the children to keep a pair of gym shoes at school. That in mind, I don’t typically want to leave a very expensive pair of gym shoes in their locker. I’d rather keep those at home so they can be worn more often. We were able to pick up the shoes for $14.99. They have a soft Memory Foam sole so they are super comfortable. She smiled as soon as she put them on. Again, they had a variety of colors, and some in different price ranges as well.
