How do you find the right baby monitor for your family? Do you know what features you are looking for? I have found that there are so many different kinds of devices to monitor your baby, with so many features, it is hard to decide on what you want.
With having my two previous children, they were very opposite. My son slept in his crib and bed, 99% of the time and with my daughter we co-slept with her 99% of the time. Having a baby monitor for my son was a must. We only had the basic one that you could listen through, no video. So, being introduced to Levana, a brand of high-tech, stylish and reliable baby video monitors that give parents the freedom to do more knowing their child is safe, was pretty exciting. I never knew there could be so much to a monitor.
Top 5 reasons to get a video baby monitor:
- Monitor kids that share a bedroom – It is great to have two cameras to be able to have each one of them pointed in the direction of each child so you can monitor both at the same time. The monitor has an option to switch to which ever camera you want or you can have a split screen. Great for my two youngest that will be sharing a bedroom.
- Talk to your baby – Two-Way intercom and zoom – Talk or sing to your baby from any room in the house. If you can’t get their right away, it will be nice to try and soothe baby until you can get there.
- Monitor playtime without constantly checking in – It’s nice throughout the day to just quick check on the kids while they are playing. Make sure no fighting and they are getting along. This will be perfect for naptime for the baby plus will be able to keep an eye on the other two.
- Keep an eye on baby while you’re outside or working around the house – A mobile monitor is one thing I really wanted so I could go anywhere in the house or step out side for a second. The monitor is hand held and perfect size. The monitor has a large 4.3″ LCD screen and touch panel controls to help with all the details needed to make using the monitor easier.
- Invisible LEDs to keep the nursery dark – Now, you know you never want to wake a sleeping baby, right? It has automatic night visit that let’s you check on baby up to 15ft away. The invisible infared LEDs will activate as soon as low light is detected and will not disturb your baby like other monitors with the harsh red glow.
I am confident that this monitor will be perfect for our situation. It meets all my needs as far as features and have been testing it out. It works great and the picture is really clear on the screen. I love that it is large enough to see details.

October 15, 2015 at 10:05 amI have 3 month old twins and a 6 and 7 year old so I wish I had more time for just me and my husband. We have a lot on our plates so I believe these monitors would be able to help with that. After the kids are in bed we could just chill and watch a movie or just talk without having to get up and check on the kiddos ten million times. I would love to win. Thank you!
