I looked through my closets and realized I still had my fur vest from about 10 years ago. It’s still on trend, but I wanted something that was new in stores right now. I just like the way some of the current sellers look. There is a non-traditional look to them. Kinda ‘boho chic’ I’d say. Also, I’m seeing a lot of plaid and fur combos. That is one look that I’m totally loving. So, after taking in all that I’ve seen on Pinterest and other Instagram accounts I adore, I’ve created two quick go-to looks for this upcoming holiday season – one a little more casual and one a little more date night-ish.
I started with the vest. For that, I went to Kohl’s. There was this fabulous one I saw when I was running through there one day with the kids. I didn’t have time to try it on then, so I went back when I just had two of my girlies with me. Thankfully, it was still there. And in my size! Wonder of all wonders. This vest does come in two color variations as well. I went for the brown hued one. I think the grey one is pretty fabulous too, I just had more that would go with the brown.
The buffalo plaid shirt is also from Kohl’s. They actually have this shirt in many different patterns! I wanted to wear this with a statement necklace, but it completely slipped my mind. I’ll be wearing this outfit again, so be sure to follow along on our Instagram where you can see me changing these fall wardrobe staples around.

The second look had a fun twist too. I’m loving the hats this season…heck, they’ve been around for a bit now. So, I went with it! I am looking forward to styling this hat a few ways this season. This is the first of many I’m sure. I pulled this together out of simplicity, and then added the accessories to dress it up.

What do you think? Would you wear any of these looks? I will admit, they are a bit out there for me, but I am loving the start of them.

November 5, 2015 at 10:30 amI bought that same plaid sonoma top as soon as it came out and it’s been getting tons of wear. It’s actually on my bed to wear today – I just finished running so not dressed yet. LOL! I agree with the statement necklace but looks cute without as well.
Love the hat on you, I feel like such a dork in one, but I keep wanting to branch out. Very cute looks!

November 8, 2015 at 4:19 pmIsn’t it a great top! I just noticed more patterns in the Juniors dept at Kohl’s. Yes, I picked up more lol! Also, totally wore the statement necklace with it last night. I’ll post in IG soon! Thanks for the hat comments. I’m very apprehensive about it, but love it when others wear it. I need to branch out more ha ha!
