An SUV lovin’ momma turned into minivan momma for a week. With another little one on the way, it was really nice to try out a minivan. I have never owned a minivan before so this was the perfect time to see if would be something that we would like. I could see myself sportin’ one of these. The 2016 Kia Sedona was full of luxury and I hate to admit it but I loved it.
Five favorite features of the 2016 Kia Sedona ::
- I love that when you approach the car and you have the keys on you, the handle lights up and the doors unlock. This is pretty amazing to me, not having to fiddle around looking for your keys in your purse or bag.
- The middle seating area has two bucket seats and these seats are able to move front to back and side to side. This is very helpful when trying to get things in and out of the van.
- When trying to reverse, I really big puffy heart that it shows a down view of the vehicle, so you can see if there is anything on the side of you. Check out the picture above. You can also change and move the view to what you like.
- Another feature that I liked was it had a DVD player in between the front seats on top of the center console. This is a great safety feature because it is below and not up on the roof of the car blocking your vision. Genius idea…plus the kids LOVE this part. It was nice and kept them quiet…no fighting.
- Roominess! There is so much room in this van it’s crazy. Lots of room for lots of people and things. It was easy to get the kids in and out.
Let’s talk about how it drove. This was a very smooth ride. It went over bumps and holes as if I didn’t even know we were going over them. It gets great gas mileage as well. I believe I got 20.1 mpg average for the week. The whole tank lasted me a week and I drove it quite a bit.
The luxury of this Sedona far surpasses any other van I have been in. It would definitely be in the top 3 if I were to chose a van as my next vehicle. If you are on the hunt for a van, I encourage you to go take one for a test drive.
