In addition, I recently received a wonderful fur vest from Lands’ End and thought this would be a great addition to a black pants post! Not only is this great and works for indoors, like at the office, but it’s sufficient enough to wear outdoors as your vest to keep you warm — outerwear. I could curl up with this bad boy and take a nap! My daughter loves to rub it. It’s SO SOFT!! I digress…
So many good things. Let’s talk. There are pockets, which are super nice for keys and my phone. I love the length too. It’s not too long and it’s not too short. I can’t stand shorter vests….I like to cover the rump up! I do love the longer ones, but I think this would be too bulky it it were longer. I did notice that Lands’ End had a tunic length vest, but it was more of a down feather though. That surely caught my eye! Tunics are all the rage right now!
For the black pants, whenever I wear them I like to spice it up with accessories. Take these pumps for example. How fun are they?!?!? They look great with a pencil skirt as well as black, flare dress pants. I love how they peek right up from the hem of the pants. It takes the attention from top to bottom with the outfit.
I have to share a bunch of links from my fellow bloggers who took on the challenge for Workwear Wendesday this week and styled some black pants. Pop over and see what they are doing too!

And I couldn’t leave without sharing a style for the vest that’s more casual. Because, I’m all about casual too! Heck, that’s what I LIVE in! This vest is scrumptious, seriously!
What do you think? Do you have a go to pair of black pants in your closet? How about a vest? Have you picked up a vest this season? Heck, do you have one from a while back that you haven’t donated yet? You should totally get that out!! π

January 27, 2016 at 10:08 amI completely agree that everyone needs a pair of black pants, they’re an essential piece to every women’s wardrobe even if they aren’t going to work.
Very cute look, I love that you added those printed heels, fabulous and that checked top, I have one similar I need to start wearing again.
The vest is very fun too, looks warm!
