Running through the house with a shirt in my hand, I see a naked little toddler darting in and out of bedrooms. He giggles as I make a mad dash, trying to wrangle the shirt over his head. I missed… and the chase is on.
Being a mom is exhausting. Who ever thought that keeping up with a tiny human could be so difficult? That is why keeping my body healthy is so important! When I am taking care of myself, I am better able to take care of the tiny humans in my life. Finding something I enjoy doing is so important because when I am enjoying it, I am likely to do it more often!
Yoga is my “thing.” I’ve spent years trying different exercise routines and have never found anything that felt as awesome for my body as yoga does. I feel strong and lean. I have energy. I have extra self confidence. Yoga makes me want to skip the ice cream… well, almost! haha…
I have tried several yoga mats over the past couple years and have never found one that I loved. My complaint? They are not grippy! As I’m working my way through a yoga class, I find my feet slipping more and more. Form becomes compromised and I’m no longer getting the full benefits of the class. I have resorted to laying grippy yoga towels on my mat to help compensate my sweaty feet. Every now and then though, I find my toes tangled in the towel and I have to readjust. NOT fun.
I was THRILLED when I received my Jade Yoga Mat in the mail. Immediately I knew that this mat was different. The texture was unlike any mat that I have tried. I could tell that it was going to have a ton of grip and I was not disappointed! My feet grip this mat with ease and do… not… move. Made from natural rubber, the mat is made from sustainable resources. Jade Yoga is all about maintaining those resources and for every mat purchased, they plant a tree.
I am 5’8″ so having the option to purchase a longer mat was a huge bonus for me! Jade Yoga offers several different lengths to fit all heights. Find the one that is best for you 🙂
Another huge benefit that I have loved about this mat is the weight of it. It has plenty of cush for my toes, knees, and elbows, but the weight remains light. So if you venture to yoga classes outside of the home (this is where I have ME time for 1 hour a couple times a week!), this is the mat to bring with you!
I wish there was a way to convey my enthusiasm accurately, but just know this… Jade Yoga mats are awesome!!
