how i’m wearing layers with aventura for #FashionFriday

Given changing temperatures (and changing hormones, ha!!), layers are a must! I am always on the lookout for ‘add on’ clothing items when it comes to options.

I’ve been sharing these pieces on our social media, but in case you missed them, I am sharing some essentials from Aventura clothing. I have grown to love this brand, to be quite honest. The quality in which it is made is supreme, and the comfort level is just as such. I don’t know about you, but when I buy clothes, I want them to last, and I want to be able to wear them different ways. That’s exactly what I have goin’ on today with Aventura!

For starters, everyone needs some vests. Yes, that’s plural. What a great addition this is to almost any outfit. I am loving the cream Ciera Vest (on sale!!) from Aventura. It’s subtle stitching gives it a step above the others. Easily dressed up and dressed down. As you can see, I put it together with this fun plaid top, also from Aventura. The fit of the vest is pretty spot on as well. I’m a medium normally, and this is a medium.

You can get the plaid top in a couple colors, I chose the purple as I like all.things.purple. I am wearing a medium here and I think it fits just right. If you want a more loose or boyfriend fit, I would size up. I’m typically a medium, and I think it is a fitted medium. Same goes with the vest too. If you want it to go over a sweater, I would probably size up.

Adding the necklace was something I saw in a Pinterest inspired look, and wanted to attempt it here. It’s a dressier take on the plaid top! It’s probably not something I’d be choosing to wear for car pool line, however, I’d wear this running errands or going out with some girl friends or a casual date night with my hubby. The necklace definitely kicks it up a notch.

And can we talk about the pants a quick second? They are the Blake Skinny Jeans. They are a little higher waisted, which I like. I can’t stand it when I bend over and the pants slide down. Ack! These fit real well and I love it because they come in a range of colors! Also, they are on sale now and still have a range of colors and sizes available. Stock up!
