getting great gas mileage with 2016 Hybrid Toyota Highlander Limited #DriveToyota

With gas prices always up and down, I find that you need a car that’s going to get a decent gas mileage. Plus, lots of families are looking for larger vehicles to fit their ever growing family. Doing a little research on larger fuel efficient vehicles before we purchasing your car would be a great place to start.  I know, for sure, the 2016 Toyota Highlander Hybrid Limited would be one to start with.

After test driving the Toyota Highlander for a week, I know this would be one I would definitely consider getting. The 2016 Highlander was designed with excitement in mind. A bold, aggressive grille aids airflow, while the available LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) add style and visibility. And its available Chromtec^® roof rails are integrated, which means when you aren’t using them to carry your accessories, their aerodynamic shape minimizes the noise coming from overhead. I was really in love with the stance and look of the Highlander. It doesn’t happen often when I like the look of a vehicle.

Five favorite features of the 2016 Toyota Highlander Hybrid ::

• Good gas mileage – Highlander’s 4-cylinder engine squeezes the most performance out of every mile and every gallon. It surprises with 185 horsepower and 184 lb.-ft. of torque, yet still manages an EPA estimated 20 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.  The available V6 engine generates 270 horsepower and 248 lb.-ft. of torque, offering up to an EPA estimated 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway for FWD models. The mileage was amazing.

• Large cargo space – the Highlander’s roomy interior gives you enough space to seat up to eight people and provides more comfort along the way with reclining third-row seats.  As well as, the decent space for your goods.  The 60/40 split third-row seat has the ability to fold flat and recline to accommodate your needs.
• Entertainment system – Entertaining from the driver’s seat is tough. Let the available Blu-ray Disc™ rear-seat entertainment system help. The 9-in. display screen comes with RCA jacks, remote and two wireless headphones
• Child safety seat restraint system – LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) provides an added measure of safety for the smaller members of your family. LATCH includes lower anchors and tethers on the outboard second-row seats and a tether anchor on the middle seat of the second and third rows.  This was extremely important option when gettinga  vehicle. It’s nice to see the Highlander has that.
• Standard backup camera with projected path – When it comes to safety and convenience, Highlander delivers. Whether you’re backing up or parallel parking, the standard backup camera can serve as a guide by showing what the camera detects on the touch-screen display.  It was apparent that I depend on this feature due to driving my mom’s car that didn’t have it.

The vehicle I tested has a MSRP of $52,105.00, which included the Voice-activated touch-screen DVD navigation system, cargo cover, three-zone automatic climate control system, Smart Key System, privacy glass on rear windows, blue-tinted headlamp and tail lamp bezels, leather trimmed front and second row seats, multi-information display with backup camera display, moon roof, 10-way power driver’s seat, power windows, power door locks, standard backup camera with projected path, blind spot monitor and rear Cross-Traffic alert, available lane departure alert and leatherette-trimmed 60/40 split third-row seat.
