lunch on-the-go with goodbyn + giveaway

When summer rolls around my family takes every chance we can to get out and enjoy ourselves. Whether it be a trip to the lake, exploring a new city, playing with friends, or just doing a marathon of errands so that our other days are free, you will rarely find us sitting at home.

Of course, even if we are not at home we still have to eat and dining out every day is just not practical. For the days where I can think ahead I do like to bring along some meals for us all because not only can I make sure everyone in our family has foods they like and are healthy, plus we can also save quite a bit of money.

My girls have had Goodbyn Bynto containers for a couple years now and they are our number one choice for lunch on-the-go. The three differently sized compartments in the Bynto are perfect for keeping foods you don’t want touching separated (pasta salad + sandwich = a soggy mess of crumbs). Depending on how much variety you want in a meal you can even use a cute silicone cupcake liner to add another mini compartment, as I did in the below photo for my girls with their chocolate chips and dried cherries.

While the Bynto has been perfect for my girls I knew that I needed something a little different for my own lunches and was so very excited to recently learn about the Goodbyn Hero! Like the Bynto, the Hero comes in some very bright and fun color choices and is nicely compartmentalized to keep different foods separated. The Hero even comes with two small ‘dippers’ which are great for dips, portion controlled sweets, or even keeping your vitamins in view at meal time so you remember to take them. (Yep, that would be me who forgets to take her vitamins.)

Neither the Bynto nor Hero are leakproof containers, however, with a little bit of care we keep our pickle juice from making our sandwiches soggy. All of these containers are BPA Free and dishwasher safe (top rack recommended). For those of you like me who wash dishes by hand they are easy to clean and only take me a moment to wash out.
