A few years back I was desperately searching for a gentle face moisturizer for my sensitive skin when I discovered the benefits of coconut oil. It didn’t take long before I was hooked on coconut oil and its many uses.
When the opportunity came up to try the products from
Skinny & Co. I was very excited. All of their products use their 100% raw alkaline coconut oil that is cold pressed and chemical free (no-fillers, no bleach, no preservatives, no binding agents, no solvents, and no toxins!). Their products never contain more than 5 ingredients, and as we all know, LESS is MORE when it comes to the things you put in your body or on your skin! You can get the
Skinny & Co. Coconut Oil in a variety of sizes to use for everything from relieving diaper rashes to adding it to your coffee.
The first jar of oil I opened from Skinny & Co. was their Facial Oil and after one use I was hooked. I love that they added lavender, Roman chamomile, and holy basil essential oils because they help soothe my sensitive skin while making my face smell quite lovely (and not like coconut oil). You can use the Facial Oil as a makeup remover, cleanser, and/or moisturizer.
Next on my sampling tour was the Skinny & Co.
Oil Pulling. If you’re not familiar with oil pulling it’s really simple, you swish 1 Tbsp of coconut oil in your mouth for 5-20 minutes and then spit it in the trash, rinse your mouth, and then brush. Skinny & Co. Oil Pulling adds in refreshing peppermint which helps leave your breath freshened while it works to whiten your teeth and protect your tooth enamel. I’m working my way up to the 20 minutes and can’t wait to see the long term results.
The Whipped Body Butter comes with almond oil extract and it smells so very delicious. My kids will stop in their tracks and exclaim, “Something smells SOOOO GOOD!” when I’m wearing the Whipped Body Butter. Great for everyday use or for soothing sunburn or the dreaded razor burn. Pregnant friends? Slather on the coconut oil to help prevent those dreaded stretch marks.
Finally I have to share about the
Sugar Scrub. It. Is. Amazing. Winter is coming and as we all know dry skin is inevitable. If you want to keep your hands, feet, elbows, etc. from getting dry and scaly I suggest using the Sugar Scrub. Not only does it smell of delicious coconut oil and vanilla bean, it leaves your skin amazingly soft. This would make a great gift for any bath product lover in your life.
So, what’s your favorite use for coconut oil?

September 19, 2016 at 8:40 amI’ve read articles on Oil Pulling before about how you need to build up to those longer times because it does take a lot of muscle strength in your mouth to swish the oil for so long. Good luck!
