Whether you have a Disney loving kiddo in your house (and honestly, what kid doesn’t love at least one Disney character?) or you just need a new way to keep the family entertained during the short days of winter here are two fun board games to have under your tree this Christmas. Both of these games are recommended for 4 years and up but keep in mind that “and up” range is pretty wide. My 6-year-old and 9-year-old have been getting these games out on a daily basis, and while our 18-month-old isn’t in the recommended age range yet he will gladly watch his sisters play and cheer along with them.
Is someone in your house still obsessed with Disney’s Frozen? Then you need to check out Disney Frozen Where’s Olaf? Hide and Seek Game from Wonder Forge. Players take turns hiding the plush Olaf and then the other players take turns asking questions to help determine where Olaf could be hiding. Is he in a room with a chair? Is he in a room with a sofa? Each question gets a hot or cold answer and once you get a “Go look!” tile dash to find Olaf before the timer runs out! This game is so simple to play that my kids can set it up and play by themselves but even parents can play along without being bored. My favorite is watching our littlest one (only 18 months) chase people around as they search for Olaf.
Disney Junior always has a line up of shows that are completely enthralling for my kids. Currently they are OBSESSED with The Lion Guard and you should have heard the squeals when they saw our new Disney Junior The Lion Guard Boulder Burst Game from Wonder Forge. In this game you build a dam with the boulder bricks and then players take turns either adding a “water” ball to the canyon or removing a boulder brick from the wall and adding it to the top. This was a fun game because while you avoid being the person to make the dam come tumbling down you don’t really care if you are because watching the destruction is always fun!
Both games are for 2 or more players and come with all the necessary pieces and game boxes for storage. Which of these fun games would be the most fun for your family to play together this holiday season?
