Let’s chat about why I want to switch to natural deodorant. Your skin is your largest organ. Any toxin you put on your skin is absorbed directly into the bloodstream and, unlike the food you eat, it is not filtered by the liver. So the toxins build up over time and are the potential cause of a host of health problems from asthma to cancer. And most deodorant includes aluminum which is one of the most toxic ingredients you can put on your skin! But I’ve spent a lot of time trying out several different natural deodorants only to find that they don’t work as well as I’d like. I either find myself needing to constantly reapply or my skin is terribly itchy. Thankfully in my quest to find an amazing natural deodorant, I was introduced to Green Goo.
Green Goo is a woman-owned, family-run business that makes all natural products using herbs and oils all made in the USA. My daughter and I have been using their deodorant for the past several weeks and we both love it! It works, it smells amazing and it feel great on my skin. It’s cold here in Michigan so I’m wearing my down coat everywhere. Which means halfway through my grocery shopping trip I start sweating! At the end of a shopping trip, I used to have to reapply my natural deodorant. But not anymore! Green Goo is able to handle it without aluminum, Propanediol, propylene glycol, parabens & phthalates.
I also love that there are lots of scents as well as an unscented option. My daughter took over the Rose Geranium scent and I’m loving the Lemongrass Sage. Lavender Thyme is also a yummy option. The large sticks are great for everyday use. The travel sticks are perfect to throw in my gym bag or to send along in my daughter’s swim bag. I’m so thrilled to have finally made the switch to a natural deodorant.
