my favorite leak-free shaker bottle :: #aHEALTHYnewyear

I love starting my day with a smoothie. I throw in greens, avocado, fruit, green juice, water, chia seeds and I’m good to go for the morning. Full of vitamins, protein and healthy fats.

While I love starting my day this way, one thing I don’t love is that my smoothies start to separate if I don’t drink them immediately.  So I started using a shaker bottle to blend them up every once in a while.  But the shaker bottle I had tended to leak occasionally.  Which I could deal with if I was home and could just stand over my sink.  But that was rarely the case.  So I was super excited to try the 100% leak-free Perfect Shaker.

There were a few things I loved right away when I was ordering my  Perfect Shaker cups.  The first were the different series of cups.  They have a basic shaker cup, but they also have the Super Hero Series and Star Wars series. I don’t know about you, but drinking my smoothie from a Wonder Woman cup makes me feel kind of tough!

I also love the design of the shaker.  The shaker is built right into the straw so it doesn’t fall down the garbage disposal when you’re rinsing out your cup and it doesn’t get lost somewhere in the dishwasher like my others.  This design also helps to ensure that your smoothie is totally smooth–no lumps or clumps.  I’m actually thinking this would be the perfect way to mix up my kids pancake mix!  I’m totally going to try that our next pancake morning!

And, for the true test, I had to shake it up–really shake it up–to see if it is, in fact, 100% leak free.  In my old cup, I would always hold down the top to try to minimize leaks.  But with Perfect Shaker, I don’t even have to hold the top down–it stays in place and there are no leaks at all.  And, of course, they are dishwasher safe and BPA-free.  Keeping things simple and healthy.
