the perfect CANDY-FREE Easter basket

disclaimer no giveaway

I can’t believe Easter is already next week! I just finished up buying the rest of my Easter basket supplies for the kids and I know they’re going to love them. I love to be sneaky and fill Easter baskets with a few things I’ll probably end up getting my kids anyway.  And then adding a few small things that I know they’ll enjoy.

    1.  Summer essentials.  There are a few things we use every summer.  And I like to give my kids things they’re actually going to use.  This year, each of my kids will have a pair of goggles in their Easter basket. They will also each get a few seed packets so we can start some things to add to our garden.   I’ll probably also add in bubbles for my youngest–we tend to go through those very quickly.  Some other fun summer essentials might be water balloons, sidewalk chalk or sand toys.
    2. A stuffed animal.  I know, no one really needs another stuffed animal.  But my kids actually love these big-eyed Beanie Boos and I’m going to keep putting a stuffed animal in their Easter basket as long as I can get away with it!
    3. Something just for them.  My daughter is getting a sporty headband and some soccer sleeve ties (as shown in the basket above).  My older son is getting some fun Carolina Panthers socks and my youngest son will get a couple Matchbox cars.

mammachia24.  A special treat.  My kids LOVE these chia squeezes by Mamma Chia.  They don’t stay long at our house because they are devoured almost as soon as I get them.  I love all the color they add to the basket!  In addition to color, they are full of heart and brain-healthy Omega-3s, powerful antioxidants and dietary fibers, as well as complete protein, calcium and magnesium.  Don’t tell my kids but I love these squeezes, too!

Those Mamma Chia squeezes look really good. I love how colorful they are, and you’re right, they add a lot to a basket.

They were a huge hit over here. And I didn’t feel guilty at all letting the kids indulge in health food!
